Desi Waiting for You

Introducing a gorgeous digital stamp from Art By Mi Ran called Desi Waiting for You which
can be found in the Art by Mi Ran Etsy shop. I was so lucky and honoured to be a guest designer for Art By Mi Ran for December. To make this card I started off with a pale blue base card and then matted it with silver mirri card. I then used a red snow flake paper that I got with a magazine called Quick Cards last year. I then die cut a blue frame and die cut the image. I printed the image twice so I could pop Desi up. I coloured with copic markers and added some silver lettering to spell out the word JOY. I used a red snowflake with a gem on it to finish this project off. I love this image, actually I love all Art By Mi Ran images.

Christmas Party Hat RSD MFA Progressive Challenge

For the final part of the Progressive challenge we used one of the lovely hat ladies from RSD Mfa, called Christmas Party Hat  which can be found on Zibbet and Etsy. I started this card with a red base card then matted it with a snow flake paper that I got with one of my craft magazines last year. I wanted to use some bling on this project so I used a white glitter polaroid frame that I got in the craft section at Kmart, I also used some silver ribbon/braid from Spotlight and a silver Merry Christmas sticker. I coloured the wonderful and sophisticated Christmas Party Hat Lady with copic markers and then cut her out and popped her up with double sided foam tape. Im really quite happy with how this turned out, Im slowly seeing some improvement with my colouring.

Penguin Hello Snow Globe

Hi all I'm waving Hello with one of the cute images from Amy Doodle Stamp Co. Called Penguin Hello I decided to go for something completely different and make a snow globe! I had so much fun with this and it wasn't complicated at all. First I coloured the Penguin Hello with Copic markers and then cut them out. I then got out my laminating machine and laminated the image. I then cut the laminated penguins out leaving a border of about a centimetre around them they need to be waterproof. I then went down to my hubby's shed and found an empty pasta sauce jar. I made sure it was completely clean. I then got my hot glue gun out and glued my penguins to the lid of the jar while the glue was still hot I stuck some glitter to it. I then glued some plastic present buttons in to the lid too. I then put the lid aside. I got the jar and put about 3/4 of a teaspoon of glitter into the jar I added a couple of sequins in too. I then added a 75:25 ratio of water and glycerin almost but not quite to the top of the jar. I then put the lid on and gently shook it and then it snowed in the jar. 😊😉😃
